“Enoch lived sixtyfive years, and begot Methuselah. After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixtyfive years. And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.”
Genesis 5:2124 According to the book of Enoch (chapter 74), the years at that time were 364 days long. However, after 8 years, there would be a difference of 80 days between the solar and lunar years. So if the solar year is 364 days and the lunar year is 354 days, it would make sense of the eighty days for eight years (10 days per year). However, as demonstrated at this website concerning the 360 vs. 365 day years, to achieve an 80 day difference with the same speed of the moon's orbit and altering the speed of the earth, the year would need to be 364.81 days. This figure is closer to the apparent significance of Enoch's age of 365 when he was taken by God. This is, of course, if the book of Enoch can be trusted. However, by applying these times to the period before the Flood, the days can be calculated to reveal the number of equivalent years over the course of time since creation. The years are then in three groupings: 4005 to 2349 BC (the Flood) = 1656 years x 364.81 days per year = 604,125 days 2349 to 713 BC (Sundial) = 1635.5 years x 360 days per year = 588,780 days 713 BC to 2017 AD = 2729.5 years x 365.2422 days per year = 996,929 days Total days = 2,189,834 days = 6002.7 (364.81 day years) or 5999.5 (365 day years) _______________________________________ Or using 365 only 4005 to 2349 BC (the Flood) = 1656 years x 365 days per year = 604,440 days 2349 to 713 BC (Sundial) = 1635.5 years x 360 days per year = 588,780 days 713 BC to 2017 AD = 2729.5 years x 365.2422 days per year = 996,929 days Total days = 2,190,149 days = 6000.4 (365 day years) The conclusion then is that at Enoch years, it would seem to suggest the 7th Millennium beginning at around 20172018 AD. Again this seems to be a marker of the coming time. This is, of course, if the Book of Enoch is to be trusted. The key seems to be his age of 365 in Genesis 5. ______________________________________________ The above was posted on September 7th, which can also be found here:

September 9, 2006:
Concerning the issue of consistency and why 365 day years were used instead of 364.81 days per year, there is more to be shown. If the Book of Enoch and the analysis are correct that the years at Enoch's time were 364.81 days per year, then is this the standard? But, what is the average of the year over human history? Is this not more significant? What happens when we count the days until the end of the Millennium (provided there are no more changes in the length of the solar year) and divide them all by 7000? Does this equal 365?
Here is the portion that I believe is correct:
4005 to 2349 BC (the Flood) = 1656 years x 364.81 days per year = 604,125 days
2349 to 713 BC (Sundial) = 1635.5 years x 360 days per year = 588,780 days
713 BC to 2017 AD = 2729.5 years x 365.2422 days per year = 996,929 days
2017 to 3017 AD = 1000 years x 365.2422 days per year = 365,242 days
Total days = 2,555,076 which divided by 7000 years = 365.01086 days per year on average.
The 0.01086 comes from the extra 76 days since 7000 x 365 = 2,555,000, so it is off by 76 days over 7000 years!
My conclusion then is that Enoch's age of 365 per Genesis 5, is reflective of the average length of the year over three different lengths of solar years (364.81, 360, and 365.2422) spanning a Divine period of 7000. So instead of basing the divisor on the first length of year (364.81), it is based on the average length of year over 7000 years, which is 365 days per year. Though the actual solar years would be 7021, in God's eye it is a total of 7000 years or units of 365 days. In our perspective it is 7021 years of 363.919 days average per year based on the total days of 2,555,076. In the end the conclusion seems to suggest the end of the Millennium as being 3017 AD. To my surprise while confronted with the chronology of Enoch's rapture, it was discovered that his rapture would have been in 3018 BC, placing the birth of Christ, if in 1 BC (and I believe it is), in the direct middle! 3017 years on either side. Also one will note that the time from creation to Enoch's rapture is 987 years, which from Christ's ascension to 2006 is two times 987. This information is not in Signs of the End, but it seems to lend support. Sidenote: Books are now reduced to sell more quickly as demand has dwindled. Look now
